The European project “Leveraging sport to tackle gender inequalities” is a Strategic Partnership for youth funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

It is a two-years project, from March 2016 to March 2018, which aims to train and sensitize youth and sport instructors to gender equality by professionalising them on how deliver a non stereotyped sport activity and make young people aware of gender diversity in sports practices.

The project will provide effective tools to deal with gender inequalities in sport:

– E-learning Training on gender equality in sport activities for youth and sport instructors. These digital training modules will be used by youth and sport education training centres. Thanks to its digital form, the e-learning can be included easily into existing trainings.

– Trainer’s Guide of the e-learning training. This Guide will provide educational methods and facilitation techniques.

– Awareness Guide on gender equality effects in sports activities for youth and sport organisations. This Guide will support youth and sport organisations to include a gender equality approach in their practices.
